I don't want to go back. I'm going to miss my mum who always leaves the best for me and my brother who never fail to make me laugh at his jokes. I'll miss my aunt who treats me like I'm her very own daughter. I'll miss my little cousins who are the cutest thing on Earth. I'll miss my friends who I know will always be there for me. I'll miss sitting on the comfortable sofa and watching tvb on the large screen tv. I'll miss going to Jurong Point, West Mall and Causeway Point which have everything I need. I'll miss taking the mrt even though it broke down a number of times this year. I'll miss eating breakfast at nearby coffee shops. I'll miss the cheap food, transport fares and clothings. I'll miss Singapore. I'll miss home.

The pictures were taken during bongzai's first visit to Singapore during the holidays.. which is like super duper long ago. Was treated by her dad to the most sumptuous chinese meal ever in the 18 years of my life.. lobster, abolone, sharkfin, beijing duck etc. And wine as gift.

Bro's going army the next day. Had dinner w him and my mum before he leaves for tekong tmr. Good family time together :D To be honest, my bro's a great brother who cooks and do laundry for me when my mum's away even though I'm older.

Life'd been great. Lots of good food during cny and red packets for clothes. Bought a few new stuff during the hols. Sigh, I'm such a spendthrift. Stopped doing internship after cny.. Life is definitely more relaxing without having to wake up early to go to work everyday. But the internship is definitely a good experience.

Talking to liling brings back alot of memories about what happened in the past... those memories that I thought I've forgotten but remained at the back of my mind. Things have changed since my first semester in uni. I was dumb, I was stupid.. I was young. Although it'd been merely 2 years, I feel that I've grown alot since then though I have to admit I'm still childish and immature. However, I've grown to care alot more about how people think of me and the way I present myself. I've become more motivated, I want to achieve more things.. I stopped wearing those girly dresses and go for the more mature ones instead. I've become more materialistic.. and more aware of brands that I've never heard of in the past. It's funny how meeting that one person can make you change so much. These changes are, for the better, in my opinion. But all the tears and hurt caused.. is the price to pay worth it?

Perhaps, it all didn't matter now. But still, I'm thankful...

It's the first day of November. My stomach hurts and I'm feeling homesick. Talked to my mum over facebook today. I miss her.. and I miss home. Had been staring at the black document on the screen of my laptop for the past half an hour. I'm not in the mood to do anything. I don't know what's wrong with me for the past few days, where has all my motivation gone? I feel so sick.. sick in my stomach, sick of myself for being so lazy and just.. sick.

Have been really busy w the video productions stuff.. I can't wait to get this video productions thing over and done with. It's taking up so much of my time. Sigh. I hope all the assessments will end soon so that I can play tetris w/o feeling guilty. Lol. I gotta have to suppress the urge of playing it for awhile.. at least before I'd completed the essays. My last essay's due on the 14th. Which leaves me about a week to have fun in Sydney. I can foresee myself playing tetris on the school computer and EK beside me studying for exams. Going home in like 29 days? Soon I'll be back on the sunny island sweating like a pig. I can still vividly remember the day I counted 44 days. Before I knew it it'd been about 2 weeks, time flies.

Have been quite busy w uni & going out etc and didnt have time to update this blog. Most of the photos are from ions ago. Sigh.

42 days before I go back! But within this 42 days there's so much to do esp video productions. Shooting and editing videos are tiring enough and there's still a take home exam after the 6mins piece which's due on 28th (and we haven't started) oops.

Replaced the sodas in my fridge with soy milk - my first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Had weet-bix for breakfast in an attempt to be healthy but ate an additional packet of seaweed. P-H-A-I-L! Sigh, need to quit the seaweed addiction before I suffer from iodine overdoes and thyroid problems :/

The 2 presentations are over, like finally. The 2nd presentation's quite screwed up, baby princess came in 20mins late for the presentation and left without an apology. The frown on the tutor face and his constant questioning about the whereabouts of the baby princess indicates how bad the presentation was. But still, I thank God helping me through the 2 presentations. Without his grace and mercy, I would not be able to pull through the 2 presentations.

Out with Ek to celebrate. We bought this Japanese drink and was trying to open it. People passing by were staring at us as if we were idiots. Ek even went to buy a bottle opener lol. In the end, the lady sitting beside us who happens to be Japanese taught us the correct method to open the bottle. Funny ttm.

Trying to look for some appropriate food (bread etc) to fill my tummy in the morning but all I have is junk food - chocolates, chips, soft drinks, instant noodles, sweets, lollipops etc. I ended up eating chips plus soft drinks for breakfast. I definitely need to lead a healthier lifestyle. I don't want to die at such a young age.

49 more days. It'd been a year and I'm looking forward to going back. Terribly homesick. Miss the people, the envt, the shopping, the food etc. It's finally October! Yipee :DD

Anw I just found out that eating too much seaweed will lead to iodine overdose. Have been curbing my craving for Tao Kae Noi Seaweed for the past few days. Bought the seaweed again today though, I'll try to limit my intake :P.

Was @ Melody Market w Enoch eons ago. It's finally the last week before the mid sem break. And finally 2 more months before I leave for Singapore. I can't wait to be home. It'd been almost a year and all I want is to return to where I belong. I miss the familiar Singaporean accent, miss all the cheap and awesome hawker food & most importantly, I miss my mum & friends. But probably, even if I'm home, things would be quite different this time. I probably won't be seeing my mum as often and I have an internship to do. Liling isn't coming back and Soo will only be back in Jan. Sigh.

Idk what's wrong w me lately, I'd just not been in my best mood. I feel lethargic and I just don't wanna do anything. Sometimes, as I walk back home from uni, I feel like I'm not the one who's doing the walking. It's not like I'd not been sleeping enough or I'm stressed out or whatever, I just feel like I'm not myself. I don't know how to those feelings into words. Sigh. Probably I'm just...tired.

Hung out with MECO peeps to celebrate Andie's 20th. The big 20! & Melody market with Ek after. The poor boy had to wait more than an hour for me today :( Oops~ 2 dinners today- feel so fat.

Asked Ek to choose between harry potter, bridesmaid, bad teacher and green lantern - it was unexpected that he chose bridesmaid. Had happy meal before we caught the movie, the happy meal thing was initially meant to be a joke.

Taking a break today before continuing on my essay tomorrow. Completed 2 of my assignments this week, I guess I deserve the day-off. Was reading ban shen yuan last night till ard 4.. for the first time in idk-how-many months, I'm actually sleeping what I consider to be late. I'm glad I'm actually able to still recognize the characters of my favourite language.

Just found out that Xiaxue dyed her hair pink and I really admire her courage. I wish I could do the same.. I'm not a person who would do something that deviates from the norm. I really like a pink hair but I feel self-conscious even carrying a pink backpack.

Taking my own sweet time to eat my breakfast while I toured the virtual world on my computer - I'm enjoying and appreciating every moment of the slow morning.

It's zixin's bday some time ago. Went to a restaurant called 'helm' along darling habour. Had ribs, which is similar to the one at hurricanes, but much more affordable.

On my sociology essay now - writing essays is at least 10 times better than writing a press release, no joke. My laptop shuts down by itself yesterday :/ Hope it doesn't break down in the next 3 months. Sigh, I love my laptop, don't want to change another. My bff's timetable is horrible, I suddenly feel lucky :D Oh well, uni life is so much slacker than secondary school. I still have no idea how I'm able to sleep at 1-2 am and wake up at 6am every day then. I'm such a pig now, am turning in early every night. Oh well, but at least, I wake up early too. Ikr, I sound like those granddads and grandmas.

Have 3 boxes of fresh red sweet strawberries in my fridge now. Life's awesome.

Taking a break from editing the videos for video production now. I'm kind of enjoying it actually esp editing the part on the interview w ek. So cuteeeee please :DDDDD

I'm beginning to like video productions, it's not as bad as I'd expected although undeniably it's extremely time consuming. Streaming closing time on youtube while editing the video with the whole computer lab to myself is extremely awesome. Have yet to watch FwB and I'm so going to watch the show no matter what. Probably use up my free hoyts ticket next week or something.

Finally tried Movenpick at Azuma :D Pretty awesome except for the tummyache that came after.

Sigh, I'm totally fed up with the press release.. wrote 8 out of 35 paragraphs. I might have to get the textbook tomorrow which I initially thought was unnecessary. Sometimes, I really wonder if Mass Comm is the right course for me... I enjoy writing essays but not press releases or newspaper articles. I enjoy panelling for radio but definitely not talking into the mic and having my kiddy voice broadcasted to the whole world. I enjoy filming but not walking around in the rain etc. I used to be very firm that the field of mass comm is something I can see myself doing in future, but now I'm starting to doubt. About 2 more years before I graduate.. I guess there's still plenty of time to think about it...

First month

Night market with Ek and my favourite potato twirl. The past month had been awesome :D

I have essays due soon but none of the essay questions are out yet. And it sucks that the due dates of the assignments are quite close together. I want to start doing the essays soon but there's no way I could start without the essay questions. I hate leaving things to the last minute and I want to be ahead of time.

Haven't really been studying. Sigh, I need to get back my momentum. There are so many things to do for Media and Communications especially Video Productions. You have to write the script, film, interview, edit, plot the story etc. I don't deny that it's fun but it's going to be really time consuming. I rather write a 2000 words essay.

I don't think they are ever going to fix back the computers at level 1 in fisher. Here I am typing this post at level 3. Everything's different every semester. You hang out with a different people at different places, you see different people around, you say goodbye to old friends who graduated and hello to new friends you just met. You lose touch with some friends, got closer to others, some close friends become acuqaintance and some acquaintance become close friends. Some friends came in and left, some friends stayed thus far. The only constant through the semesters is change. It's sad but that's reality. Face it.

Can't make out the alphabets but I like the coloursssss. I don't know how to appreciate those less-elaborated and non-colourful ones though, they look more like vandalism to me than art :/

Went strathfield to visit butt :D I really like suburbs like strathfield where everything is so much quieter and peaceful as compared to the city. Had awesome korean hotpot there - the ideal type of food for the cold winter of Sydney.

Bong's finally backk today. YAY. Hung out with her in her room during my 3hrs break & took a nap there. Miss her snacks, miss the emo songs, miss sleeping on the floor, miss all the bhbs, miss her room, miss talking about the most childish and nonsensical stuff, miss herrrrrr. Now there's no need for skype, overseas phone calls and all the virtual stuff :DDDD Yessssss, and all my friends are finally back to Sydney.. or maybe.. all except one. Oh well.

It's the 2nd week & I'm having a lecture in 20mins time. Sigh, I just want to get this semester over and done with. Looked at the Unit of Study Outline & realized that this is going to be my toughest semester. 2 media and communications subjects, lots of presentations and project work. Computers on the first floor of fisher library are taken away - that means I have to find another place to do my essays and study. Wish they'll fix back the computers soon, first floor's my favourite study location. I never had monday blues last semester as there used to be no lessons for me on mondays. Now I'm feeling the blues. Sigh, it'd been a long time since I have to wake up with an alarm clock. Sometimes, I wonder how I am able to actually wake up at 6 during the secondary school days. Alright, gtg!

I knew I'd always dreaded this semester but during the holidays, I thought I was actually looking forward to school reopen. But today - the first day of the semester - all I feel is fear. I don't know how I am going to go through this semester and I'm scared. I guess it was the over-reliance and when things are different I don't know how to deal with the change. This semester, I have to motivate myself, there will be no one who will give you a push. This semester, I have to make my own judgements, there will be no one who will give you advice. There will be no one who will be telling you the silliest jokes or the most inspirational words.

Hung out with Butt & Ivy at Tom Tom Cafe. I ordered Chai Latte while the girls ordered Green Tea Latte. I don't really understand why anyone would not like the smell of Chai probably just like how the girls don't understand why I like it. Imo, Chai really smells awesome but well maybe it's just me who has weird taste. But anw, it was nice catching up with the girls. We talked about walk with God and what we have been up to recently.

For me, I am truly amazed about how God planned everything in my life. All the people I'd met and all the good and bad experiences made me who I am and placed me where I am today. Indeed, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your resonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but with everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guards your heart and mind in Jesus Christ" Philippians 4:4-7. So thank God not only at your highest but also at your lowest. Because when things don't turn out the way you want it to be, it just means that God has better plans for you.

Enoch and I had a few drinks at a bar near darling habour before going to club at tone. Had 5 drinks and was kind of drunk. Alright, I know I'm a lousy drinker. Enoch was just 'a little high'. Zzz. And the first thing that came into my mind when I woke up the next morning was that I danced like a retard last night, so embarrassing. Most of the pictures were quite blurry though. Anyway, it was a good night, pretty happy and all.

The past 2 days are spent w pighead. Caught movies and had htht. Anyway, the pig had 2 packets of indo-mee, 6 bottles of alcohol, and a whole packet of nuggets just for dinner yesterday. The nickname pighead suits her to the max. Seeing the pig drink is totally tempting and I gave up resisting having a drink as well. Got a little light-headed afterwards but it's not as bad as the last time. I didn't drink as much as the pig though, it's crazy. 6 bottles of alcohol and still not drunk. I suspect something was quite wrong with the pig's stomach. 6 bottles of water is too much for one night let alone alcohol. And plus, it was after having 2 packets of indo-mee and the whole packet of nuggets. Wonder where all the fats went to :/ think there's worms. Yucksssss.

I suspect I caught a flu. Urgh. It's freezing here in aus & I hate the weather especially when I have to wear many layers of clothes out - feel so heavy when walking :S

Have been eating continental pasta for the past few days. Somehow it taste better than when I first ate it. On the other hand, milo oatmeal doesn't taste as good today.

How I wish unilodge doesn't charge for the usage of vacuum. Cleaning of my room would be much easier with it but no way I'm gonna pay 10dollars per hour just to use the vacuum! Urgh, money-sucking unilodge.

There's 4K outing but I can't go :/ If only I'd gone back this winter.

I guess I'm slowly getting used life alone in Australia. As much as it's boring, it's actually pretty carefree and I can get to do whatever I want. Wohoo, loner ftw. Cooked rice yesterday using bong's mixing method & it's awesome. Gonna cook more from next sem onwards and reduce expenditure. Urgh, must save like madddd! Would probably be going chinatown for a walk later.. Long time since I'd actually gone anywhere except coles. Oh well, there's nothing to buy anyway & plus, I'm short of cash. And guess what, a jacket I bought from supre is only selling at 35dollars now when I bought it at 50. Urgh, why is this always happening to me!! I haven't been opening my mouth to talk much ever since the holidays but I'm glad there's always liling, bong & enoch online whom I can 'chat' with. Yes, & occasional calls with mum & zizhao bro! It's nice of have someone to talk on the phone with when you're bored & everything. Oh well.. life isn't too bad afterall. You just have to learn to appreciate those little things..

I'm looking forward to school reopen already! Having essays to write is better than watching shows at home everyday & doing nothing meaningful. It's the 2nd of July.. like finally. 23 more days! Yay :) Almost finished watching all of my shows! Sigh, I desperately need to find an alternate source of entertainment.

Enoch and I had this the other day. It's totally awesome except that we kept burping after that & I felt so full that I couldn't finish the ice-cream I bought afterwards.

Doing nothing meaningful everyday except watching show like there's no tomorrow = no sense of satisfaction achieved. Life has been pretty much of a bore. Urghhhh, how I wish I'm in Singapore!!! Called bong yesterday cause I couldn't fall asleep & she's happily out w Aus friends. Super envious please. At least I can save some money on the flights yeah (please don't talk to me about opportunity cost). Had been eating maggie mee 4 days in a roll already. Sat - Monday nights are great. Went to Christian Concert w bong & lillian on sat. Slept over at bong's place that day and we talked till 5am. Went with bong to circular quay to watch sydney lights festival (vivid) after church. Lights were beautiful but it was freezzzingggggggg. Went out with Xuan and Melissa yesterday for dinner. Had the yummy green tea cake for supper.

A friend once told me "Do as though you're never going to fail and expect nothing in return". Sigh, I really didn't expect anything initially. But the response just builds up hope in me. Now I'm hoping. Hoping so hard that I know I would be terribly unhappy and disappointed if it doesn't goes well. It's just so difficult to expect nothing in return at times. I'm not someone who's exactly contented with my life. I wish I had older siblings who could guide me with writing resumes and cover letters. I wish I were richer so that I don't have to worry about having insufficient money to complete my studies. I wish I had a better voice so that I could pass my Radio Broadcasting unit with flying colours. I wish I were taller so that I could wear flats without feeling shorter than I already am. Basically, there were times when I wish I were someone else other than me.

I failed to count my blessings. My life's a bed of roses compared to the 12 year old boy and his mum. What position am I in to complain when I have a fabulous mum, wonderful friends and a Father in Heaven who's always there for me? I might not be smart but I made it to uni. I might not be pretty but I don't have any physical disabilities. I might not be rich but I have more than enough cash for 3 full meals a day. Furthermore, if I have anything I am dissatisfied with with my life, I should be taking actions to change it rather than just complaining/brooding over it. As the saying goes, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change. Yes, this is my life, and I'm in control.

Went for morning service in church w bong today. Had breakfast @ a hongkong cafe. Love the homey feeling of having breakfasts there :)

All my subjects down last thursday :) Yay. Caught Thor and Something Borrowed with Xuan. Awesome shows. Movies can always somehow bring you to an alternative world where you can escape from reality for awhile & forget all your troubles and worries.

Had Y2k 3 days in a row. The porridge & taro pearl milk tea there is fabulous imo. And most importantly, Y2K gives me a really relaxed feeling cause it's kind of quiet and peaceful there. Don't like to dine in places where it's noisy.

Walked to chinatown alone on Friday and did some reflections on what I want with my life and how this semester went for me. Everyday we make decisions in our lives & I made many wrong decisions this sem. If I want to be who I want to be, I need to start making the effort and not fall back into my own comfort zone every now and then. Met up with Sylvia and Matthew after that. It'd been a long time since I met up with them esp Sylvia. Miss that girl. But it's nice how we can still click and feel comfortable in each other's presence after not meeting for such long time.

Hopped on a ferris wheel ride with peter & bong some 2 weeks ago. It's awesome. Like the feeling of being inside the ferris wheel though I'm quite scared of heights :/ Bong was like telling me how the Singapore flyer's better than this. Sigh, some day I'm gonna hop on the Singapore flyer too!

One subject down today. Am super happy when my tutor told me "let me know if you need recommendations". Haha he probably said it to everyone but still it's a great encouragement :)

Essays are piling up, due dates are drawing near. But somehow I just feel like staying at home in my comfort zone and doing nothing at all. Determination'd always been something I'm lacking - not only in studies but in other aspects of life as well. It's hard for me to stay rational and do what is best for me. Very often, my emotions take charge and I'll end up doing the things I want/like to do instead of doing what I should be doing. This is your life, take control of it. You have the power to change anything about yourself of your life that you want to change. But why is it so hard to take control of it?! I'm just not determined enough to stay rational. Sigh. I don't want to be affected by such a small thing but the fact is I am.

Life goes on. Today I'll still be going library after going to Supre with xuan and her sis. I'm still going to do my essay and stay till the library closes. I'm still going to say goodbye to bong's mum after library before she returns to M'sia. Yes, I'll still be able to do all these things and concentrate. Gonna make full use of my time from now. I'm not going to let all these negative feelings affect me.

Went for pizza with xuan, bong, ethan & mel many many days ago. There's this really awesome pizza place at Darlinghurst. Best pizza I'd ever tasted, like seriously..

Went for ice-cream @ passionflower after that. Look at the happy faces of mel, bong and xuan in the last photo.. They ordered ice-cream to share while I ordered affogato which is a big mistake cause it taste horrible. Affogato @ San Churros is at least a billion times better than the one @ passionflower. Love the picts of xuan & I. We're like a happy lesbian coupleeee. Aha, my wishful thinking...Lol, just joking. Even if I'm a lesbian, I won't fall for xuan. Had my virgin meal @ sushi tei with xuan and bong awhile ago. Call me noob but I'd never tried sushi tei. Love it to the maximum esp the salmon sashimi, wakame sushi and wagyu beef. Thanks to xuan, I'm beginning to learn the names of food. Lol.

Urgh, I have so much to say about the elections but don't think the internet's a safe platform to express my opinions about it. Some of the youtube videos are totally entertaining. Laughed like shit when I watched it.

It's really annoying that I don't have 2007microsoft word & ppt in my laptop. Should have asked my bro to install it for me when I'm in sg the last time :S

Got 1% deducted from my essay cause I handed in late. & the reason for handing in late is not because I didn't complete it on time but cause I forgot when the due date is. And guess what, got a 74(credit) for the essay. One more mark (75) and I'll be getting a distinction. & it's not the first time I handed in essays one day late cause I forgot about the due date. Seriously, I should learn my lesson!!

Okay, enough of procrastination. Back to presentation.

Sometimes when you're listening to emo songs, your spirits will naturally dampen. Yesterday was both a good and bad day for me. As much as I feel great after watching "fast and furious" and having awesome food with xuan and eddie, I felt kind of upset probably due to the songs I'm listening to and perhaps also some thoughts that had been on my mind lately.

Holiday's coming to an end soon. Before the holidays, I actually have in mind alot of work I want to complete, alot of places I want to go and alot of things I want to do. Didn't manage to carry out most of it though. This 1week holiday that I'd been looking forward for so long isn't much of a blast, neither is it a productive one. Study hard and play hard? Such an idealistic & impractical phrase.

Camwhore photos w xuan and bong taken last Thursday. That night was an awesome one cause perhaps it's the last day of school and everyone feels kind of relieved.

It'd been 5 days since the start of the holiday and I find myself being highly inefficient in terms of the progress of my work. There's so much to that I have to do in the weeks to come and I thought of completing some work during this hol so that I would have less to do after that. But the library'd not been opened and I find myself really behind schedule. I know it's really childish and dumb that I'm pushing all the blame to the library but it's only in there where I can really be motivated, concentrate and get stuff done. It's a psychological thing, I know :/ Sigh. Home is just too comfortable and the study area is just not the place for me. Well, but I strongly believe that tomorrow would be a more productive day since the library would be open :DDD Hopefully, I'll have the determination to stay till it closes. Dear Lord Jesus, please grant me wisdom, motivation and strength...

Darling Habour!

Went to Darling Habour some time last week. Really like that place. In fact, if there's anything I were to miss about Australia, Darling Habour would be the first on the list. For me, Darling Habour's the place where I had my best moments as well as my worst. But well again, sometimes, some of the best memories are actually the ones you wish you could forget.

Anw, Easter's over. Had awesome pizza and not-so-awesome affogato w xuan, bong, ethan & mel for dinner. Another day had past - which is one day closer to the break & next semester. Believe me, I'm so not looking forward to it. That semester that used to seem like such a faraway thing is actually 3 months from now already. In fact, only 2 if you count in the 1 mth break. Perhaps, I need to stop dreading/fearing the next semester. It's for the better isn't it?! Life goes on. I'll still be waking up everyday and going to school, attending lectures, writing essays etc. I'll still have a wonderful roommate and a fabulous neighbour who lives on the 4th floor. I'll still be eating raspberry ice-cream and ham subway. I'll still listen to songs before I go to sleep. I'll still be in the library after school. I'll still be obsessed with going to coles... Maybe or hopefully, things just won't be that bad...

Writing essay is difficult, keeping the number of words in the word limit is even harder. I'm about 900 words over the word limit.. deleted about 300, 600 more words to go & it seems like there's no way I could delete somemore. Perhaps I'll just cheat this time and hand in a 2500 word essay. There's no online submission anyway & I highly doubt my tutor would go count the number of words one by one.

I'm kind of hooked onto Adele's song. The chorus of 'chasing pavements' just keeps ringing in my head during lecture today "Should I give up or should I just keep chasing pavements, even if it leads nowhere..." Touching voice, touching lyrics and a touching story behind the touching song.

Had 2 bars of chocolate and 1 packet of M&Ms for lunch today. Am eating chocolate like there's no tomorrow. I guess it's cause I am not exactly in the best mood today. Didn't really have a good night sleep last night. Even though I turned in early, I woke up at 2plus and can't get to sleep. The thoughts just keep going through my mind.. I can't help it. About 2 more months before this semester ends. No, I'm not looking forward to it. Neither am I excited about the break. Really, I dread the next sememster. I realize I'm always less productive during the weekends. My word document of my uncompleted script has been opened for the past half an hour and I have yet to contribute any additional numerical figure(s) to the word count.

Was in the best mood for the past 3 days. On thursday, I got my first ever high distinction. Was really happy with it cause I thought I totally screwed up. Friday didn't start off well as I'd a group project meeting with the baby princess(as mentioned in the earlier post). Kind of ruined my mood when she restate stuff and ask questions about what had already been discussed but was satisfied after watching "life as it is" with xuan. A good show heals the dampened spirit :) Today was great cause I had an awesome lunch at an awesome place with an awesome friend.

Apologies for the lameness in previous post. It's April Fool's and I'm just being being dumb :/ I totally screwed up my presentation today. Sigh :( But oh well, I'm glad it's over.

Today while waiting for Ethan to go home together, I called xuan to tell her I'll be back soon. And Ethan was like, "why do you always have to call her(xuan) when you go home?" It struck me for a moment cause I never realized I'm nearly always calling xuan after I end school. I don't really know why. Probably like after a tiring day at school, you'll just want to talk to someone? I remember those times when zizhao and I would call each other during the boring long bus or train ride home & it really feels good. Whatever the reason is, I just want to say that I'm really glad that I have someone to call and randomly talk to in both Singapore and Australia :)

& I'm really glad to have xuan as my room-mate this year. It feels nice to go home and have someone at home that you can talk to. Feels good to have someone beside you when you're using the laptop. And have someone to be (sometimes) awake before you leave for school, have someone you can say "Good morning / Goodnight" to, have someone to hug anytime when you need a hug etc etc.

Okay, I shall stop all mushy stuff in case you guys gets goosebumps. Shall end the post w some pictures.

Seriously, I can't stand people with low efficiency rate. You're the one who suggested a weekly meeting and yet you're the one who cancelled it last minute cause you "have a party the night before so you can't find any materials for the meeting". Hello? The day before was my birthday and I found my materials 3-4 days before the meeting.

Okay, so we agreed to communicate by email. And yes, me and another of my group member had been emailing each other as if there's only 2 people in the group. Initially, we were afraid that you didn't receive the email but no, you received those emails and yet you did not make a single reply. Okay, nevermind. Today your questions to us showed only the fact that you did not read the emails. If you'd read it, you wouldn't be asking those questions.

And please mind your attitude. Stop acting like you're our superior. "So, what's the story?" SERIOUSLY WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT!!! There's no story. We - the three of us- are supposed to put our heads together and come up with the story. You turned up for the meeting 30min late and did not make any contribution to the meeting at all. Instead, you act like you're the one who's suppose only to make decisions and me and my other group member are the ones who come up with suggestions for you to make decision.

And what's with the "I never say I want to do news" and "I never say I want to be the presenter" and "this is supposed to be a group discussion, so you should stop looking only at her when you talk". Seriously. You're not responding to my group member at all. I'm the one responding so obviously she'll be looking at me instead of you. And we never say you want to do news or be the presenter. It was an example.

You don't do your work, you don't contribute, you have a bad attitude, you act like you're our superior. Maybe you can go home and be your princess.

Drama's over & everything's settled. Life in Aus has been alright- nothing worth being particularly happy or upset about. I see a face like this " :| " on my daily mood indicator. I go to the same places (school, library, home, coles) and do the same things (study, slack, eat, sleep) everyday. No, I'm not complaining about it. I'm pretty contented with life like this. Sick of all the dramas, seriously. They might be exciting in the beginning but as the drama drags on, they invoke lots of negative feelings.

Firstly, I have to say a big thank you to dearest Xuan for organizing and preparing everything.... Asking ppl to write in the card, planning the surprise party, the surry hills breakfast, the rhodes trip and the masaka dinner etc. And the card's super prettyy!!! (as seen in the first pict). Love it to the maximum. Tyvm! And the presentss, thanks for the candies, necklace, bangle and the coach pouch. The candies taste damn good. The necklace and bangle are damn pretty and the coach pouch is seriously like the first branded pouch I'd ever owned. Thank you for everything xuan!

Next, thank you bong and lillian for the card, the blanket and the super cute pig buns and bong again, for the necklace. Thank you guys for making the effort to get the presents. I know you guys took a very long time to shop for the presents and deciding what to buy for me. And thanks for the bag that comes with the present. It's very nice of you guys to even go get a bag that goes with the blanket. And last but not least, the mini card (L). Thanks for the card and bong especially, who doesn't really favour writing stuff.

Thank you boo, ethan, mel and pascal for going all the way to 85degrees to get the cake and coming for the surprise party. I seriously didn't expect that as much as I didn't expect ethan to smash the cake into my face. It's really a pleasant surprise (the surprise party, not the smashing). Thank you very much :)

Thank you xuan, bong, peter, jianwen and amelia for having the birthday dinner with me. Thank you xuan for the treat. Thank you peter and jianwen for the handcream and peter again for the ipod shuffle and getting a bag that comes with the shuffle. I really like the gifts alot. The handcream would come in very useful to me as my hands are always very dry. The shuffle's great. I'd just put songs into the shuffle this morn :) it's ready for use anytime.

Haven't been blogging for the longest time! My internet was damn screwed up at home and plus, I'd been super busy. Initially decided to change to wordpress at http://thosesmiles.wordpress.com but thought better of it. I don't really know how to use wordpress and neither do I have time to learn for now. You guys can visit it if you like, there's only one post on butt's birthday though. Super lame right, I know. Yes, so I'm not changing blog anymore. distraction

Am so distracted since last evening I could hardly concentrate on my readings. Why did I allow myself to be so distracted? Am super pissed off with myself. I told myself I-don't-know-how-many-times that I should focus. But I just can't. Home, library, outside home...perhaps it's not the location. Perhaps it's me.

It took me awhile to get to sleep last night. The sentence "It's not significant enough to make me upset" keep resurfacing in my thoughts. The sentence I don't think I'll ever forget. The sentence I once thought won't matter anymore. Why? Why am I like this in Australia? I hate it. I'm so easily distracted and affected and influenced. I need to concentrate.

Maybe it's cause of the phone call yesterday. I don't know. All I know is I keep thinking about it. Such a trivial matter... Yet such a big impact. I know I felt damn uncomfortable listening to it so I walked away. I didn't want to eavesdrop which I know I will if I stayed. But all I heard was perhaps that 5min of the conversation? Why does it seem to still have such big impact on me? I hate it when I'm like that, really. Maybe what I want to hear is an explanation or to know what is going on...but again, that's too much to expect. That's called going overboard. Furthermore, it doesn't make a difference to anything at all even if I knew everything.

Haven't been updating my blog lately. That's cause my internet at home is totally screwed up :( Life in Aus have been drama. Other than schoolwork, I have to deal with other stuff as well. Everything just haven't been smooth-sailing. And schoolwork's tough. Got lots of it this semester and it's kind of hard for me to concentrate on it at this point of time. Ought to complete my lecture reflection yesterday but haven't even start on it now. It's not due anytime soon but well, I want to finish that up asap. Hope my long weekend would be a productive one! Just read Liling's blog and one of the blogpost just overwhelmed me with an intense feeling that I could neither describe nor recognize.

A friend told me I am naive. And she wasn't the only one. Many people had told me that. Naive is just another word for dumb. Sometimes, I feel like everyone's growing up and becoming more mature...everyone except me.

Was studying with Jianwen today and he shared with me the insights he gained from the teachings of Buddhism. He told me everyone's constantly changing due to one's experiences everyday though we might not see the change. This keeps me thinking and I realize I could not agree more to that. Everyone changes, including me.

Just read an email a friend sent me today which asked me to pray for another friend of mine. I wish I could.. but I can't even remember when is the last time I prayed. I can't even help myself.

You know how sometimes someone can tell you something which you still have many many queries about but somehow you'll just believe that person.

The day I came back was Boo's birthday. Went out to itaiwan for dinner & played cards after that. Amelia came yesterday afternoon. Had been feeling super duper tired and slept like a pig that day. Met kyt and hll some days ago

Talked about our career & future. Seriously, my future seems so bleak and I'm getting worried. We talked about the importance of connections, results, experience.. how I miss those times back in school when all that we had to worry about is results. Sat at Raffles Place and observe those working people - the type of bags they carry, the kind of clothes and shoes they put on and the way they talk to one another. One day, we'll be one of them - people who have to worry about money issues, worry about politics in the office, worry about getting scolded by your superior. Everything's much more complicated in the workforce. Need to equip myself and learn some survival and socializing skills before stepping into it..

Love the sceneries there. Can never find these sceneries in Singapore. I know I used to say I hate going for the exchange programmes but guess what! I really miss the scholars & going to China now. Had lots of weird habits then like getting obsessed with hugging yihui & throwing coke bottles under sherry's bed. So much had changed now. Think I only met yihui & sherry once after I came back. Wahaha, yihui's still as huggable as ever. And sherry's more toned down and less crazy than before. Oh well, I'll never throw coke bottles below anyone's bed anymore I guess. But if there's a chance, I don't mind throwing another under sherry's bed. Hees.

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day everyone. Hope everyone had a good time w their dates/friends! Yesterday was an awesome day for me. Spent the afternoon at BK doing readings and the night with soo and ax @ soo's house to bainian. It's my first time going to people's house to bainian on a V day. LOL. Had a fabulous time looking at pretty girls on youtube. Sometimes, I really think girls look at girls as much as guys look at girls. It's a culturally accepted thing for girls to look at girls anyway but when guys look at guys, the first thing that pops into my mind would be "So gay!" Oh well. Sucks to be a guy yeah! Today would be lunch with P. Looking forward to another great day ahead.

I'll miss the both of them terribly after I return to Aus. 11 more days to go. Oh well. But as the saying goes, "don't count the days, make the days count". Gonna make full use of the time left in Singapore to do stuff that I like & hang out with the people I love. Just turned down a $250 job offer to work for the whole of next week. Felt kind of :( about it as I could have earned $250 more if I accepted this opportunity to work. Nevertheless I know I'll regret like mad if I worked during my last week. It'll suck not to have time to spend the money even if you have the money to spend yeah?! Wahaha. Today's gonna be spent on doing readings with my bestie(L). Yay, gonna be a great day!

Today's my last day of work :) Selling broader perspective's definitely a great experience. Not planning to take up any more jobs from now till I return to Australia for my studies. Need to do some last minute shopping and spend more time with my mum and friends. Anw, I deactivated facebook just now. Like what liling wrote on her blog, "facebook is like a drug". It's addictive and unhealthy. The time wasted on facebook could be better spent on something something more constructive. Not sure if I'm determined enough though. Now's the drug rehabilitating period. After this tough time, I'm sure facebook would be just like friendster - a site I'll never visit again.

So I didn't go to the library the day before ytd cause my relatives came. Had been doing alot of visiting for the past few days and today I just want to stay at home and rest. Had a great chat with Bestie Soo on the phone last night for super duper long. Omg, I miss this girl. Can't imagine life without her after I leave for Aus. I think I'll be like super not used to it. Haven't seen her for the whole of Cny! Looking forward to dinner on tuesday with her & aixin :) About half a month more and off I go to Australia. I'd played enough, eaten enough, experienced enough & relaxed enough. Time to focus and return to Australia for my studies. This semester, I'm going to make better use of my time. I know, easier said than done. But this time, I'm determined.
